Master of Taxation and Data Analytics

The nine-month Master of Taxation and Data Analytics (MTax) from ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business prepares you to lead in a profession that’s evolving faster than ever. In just nine months, you’ll gain the highly technical and specific skills sought after in the private sector to provide tax and business advice, and in the public sector to administer tax laws. Whether you’re building upon existing experience or changing careers, the W. P. Carey MTax will deepen and broaden your knowledge of taxation — while opening the door to top hiring firms.

Academics

In only nine months, the Master of Taxation and Data Analytics (MTax) degree will enhance your strategic thinking, decision-making, and communication. Students from both accounting and non-accounting backgrounds are welcome to apply. The program’s data and analytics emphasis, case-based courses, and team assignments accelerate your learning and prepare you for the profession.

The School of Accountancy within W. P. Carey has been accredited by the AACSB since 1987. MTax courses are taught by a mix of research faculty, former Big Four tax partners, and professionals with substantial experience and expertise. Our partnership with Becker CPA Review provides an excellent foundation for CPA exam prep — allowing motivated students to study for, take, and pass the exam while still in the program.
