Gain in-demand accounting knowledge and data analytics skills to propel your career. The Online MACC from ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business is intentionally flexible and interactive — including virtual evening courses led live by esteemed faculty, multiple paths for students from non-accounting backgrounds, and support every step of the way. Whether you’re preparing for the CPA exam or pivoting into a new field, the Online MACC will open the door to top hiring firms and help you stand out in the profession.
Academics
The adoption of analytics techniques in accounting is not a trend, but rather the way business will be done going forward. Reviewed every year with input from accounting professionals and alumni, ASU’s cutting-edge Online MACC curriculum is current and built to last.
You’ll engage in relevant courses that incorporate technologies and methodologies used in today’s complex, data-centric audits, developing your analytical skills and critical thinking. Components of each course are led live, allowing students to make meaningful connections with classmates and faculty in an interactive virtual format. The school’s partnership with Becker CPA Review provides an excellent foundation for CPA exam prep.
Online MACC students learn from the same faculty experts who teach the on-campus MACC program — including a mix of research faculty, former Big Four partners, and professionals with exceptional experience. The School of Accountancy within W. P. Carey has been accredited by the AACSB since 1987.

Experience
Unlike many online degrees, ASU’s Online MACC includes live, faculty-led courses and projects you’ll move through together as a class. You will build relationships with classmates throughout your time in school, and enjoy access to the same career coaching and support resources that students receive on campus.
- Earn your AACSB-accredited degree in one or two years
- Benefit from live, virtual courses taught by experienced School of Accountancy faculty
- Take classes two evenings per week, starting at 6 p.m. Arizona time (only one night a week for two-year students)
More and more professionals recognize that the modality of your degree does not detract from its quality. This is even more true for the Online MACC program from ASU, which brings the virtual classroom to life with built-in synchronous components.
