Your MRED experience
Within America’s largest public university, the W. P. Carey School is committed to building a tight-knit community. Through small classes, team-based learning, and individualized attention every step of the way, your experience in the Master of Real Estate Development is uniquely your own.
Industry connections
One feature of the W. P. Carey MRED that sets it apart from other real estate master’s programs is the deep connections to the industry — in and out of the classroom. Our faculty bring decades of real-world expertise to courses and projects, and the MRED program maintains relationships with leading professional organizations, including local and/or national chapters of American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Planning Association (APA), American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Association of General Contractors of America (AIGC), National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB), and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
The W. P. Carey School of Business is also proud to partner with the Real Estate Advisory Board, which lends expertise on critical issues of placement, curriculum, training, and pragmatic research needs, in addition to serving as guest speakers in real estate courses, providing base financial support to real estate programs, and aiding in essential fundraising efforts at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Life at W. P. Carey
On campus
Your learning unfolds in the state-of-the-art McCord Hall, which features innovative team rooms as well as student lounges where you can take a break. McCord Hall is located near the Memorial Union at ASU, considered the living room of campus, with a wide range of dining options and student support offices. Also close by is the Sun Devil Fitness Complex. The SDFC is much more than just a workout facility, offering programs and services to help you stay active both inside and outside of the complex.
Off campus
The ASU Tempe campus is close to all the action in metro Phoenix — culture, sports, shopping, and entertainment. With 300 days of sunshine a year, Phoenix is just a few hours from world-class skiing, the Grand Canyon, and more.
