Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence in Business MS-AIB

Lead transformation with a master’s degree in artificial intelligence in business from the highly ranked W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. You will learn to leverage AI mindfully and responsibly in organizations — as well as enhance performance and value with technology — while preparing to drive intentional change across industries.

Academics

The MS-AIB curriculum equips leaders with a business-aligned framework and strategies for implementing AI — delivering both technical skills and business skills to design, deploy, and apply AI mindfully in diverse business contexts. You will learn to understand and plan for the implications and possibilities enabled by artificial intelligence, in addition to the importance of governance, ethics, and principled innovation.

Students take classes in person at ASU’s Tempe campus and complete the full-time program in two semesters, with the option to add a third-semester custom track. Core courses cover a variety of relevant topics, including foundational knowledge of AI, AI applications and impacts, how to build and train machine learning models for business applications, enterprise systems and process evolution, transforming business with AI, enterprise data analytics, AI and data analytics strategy, and more.

Deepen your skills and learn to apply AI across business ecosystems through four courses of your choosing. The MS-AIB custom track allows students to gain applied experience over the summer, further enhancing your skill set while adding just one more semester to your degree. The ASU master’s degree in AI for business is recognized by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency as a STEM-designated degree program. The STEM designation allows eligible graduates on student visas access to an Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension, up to 36 months, as compared to 12 months for non-STEM degrees.
