The Secret Code of Business
The Secret Code of Business workshop is a middle school outreach program that promotes STEM education within business. This program ensures student access to education and fuels discovery, creativity, and innovation. Each semester, the Department of Information Systems and the DISC student club helps 6th, 7th, and 8th graders visualize a successful future using the coding and business tools they learn.
About the program
The Secret Code of Business triggers an early passion for pursuing a STEM-related college degree and career. The Department of Information Systems and DISC host interactive sessions for middle school students, where they can learn about coding, data analysis, and other important information system and business concepts. Current ASU students gain valuable leadership skills and volunteer experience by facilitating the program and inspiring younger students to consider majors in technology-oriented business degrees.
Schools and districts interested in registering their students for the Secret Code of Business may contact the Department of Information Systems at wpcareyis@asu.edu to find out more about the next offering of workshops.
